Nicholas Z Froner, MA, MBA

Mr. Froner, was one of the youngest production and facility manager’s of Landmark Education responsible for more than 60 staff members. Mr. Froner has a legal background focusing on transactional contract law. Froner is an entrepreneur specializing in startups focusing in the mining and construction industry in Latin America. Additionally, Mr. Froner developed a company focusing on the agriculture marketplace in Western Africa. Currently, Froner is the CEO of GBT Global LLC with offices in the USA and Peru. Mr. Froner developed and designed a patented innovative tool which reduces the environmental footprint of heavy machines and provides added efficiency in the mining. These tools are produced in Peru and utilized all over the world. Froner specializes in representing corporations and brands entering the South American market as well as acting as a bridge for US companies to LATAM. He is a member of the Oxford Union and the Oxford and Cambridge Club of London, England. Mr. Froner, received his MA from Hunter College, City University of New York and his MBA from Oxford University in England.

Dr. Charles Platkin, PhD, JD, MPH

Dr. Charles Platkin is the founder and director of MedicalBx, a pioneering healthcare infrastructure company that designs and deploys luxury-grade, mobile and modular hospitals. These self-contained, technology-integrated medical units are built to deliver high-quality care in underserved, remote, and disaster-affected regions around the globe. At the intersection of design, medicine, and mobility, Dr. Platkin leads MedicalBx in reimagining healthcare delivery—expanding access while maintaining clinical excellence and architectural sophistication.

With more than 60 residential and commercial real estate projects to his name, Dr. Platkin also brings extensive experience in the design, construction, and revitalization of properties across New York City, Miami, and beyond. His real estate development firm, Magoo Properties, is known for its thoughtful approach to community-focused, sustainable spaces that prioritize wellness, functionality, and urban equity.

In addition to his infrastructure work, Dr. Platkin is the founder and executive director of the Center for Food As Medicine (FoodMedCenter.org), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between traditional allopathic care and the use of food as medicine in the prevention, treatment, and management of disease. The Center promotes access to healthy, affordable food and disseminates peer-reviewed research to support a more equitable, health-driven food system.

Dr. Platkin is a distinguished scholar and public health leader, holding a PhD and MPH in Public Health with a focus on nutrition, as well as a law degree. He previously served as executive director of the Hunter College NYC Food Policy Center (2012–2023), where he played a key role in shaping food and health policy across New York City. He also co-founded Integrated Wellness Solutions, leveraging technology to enhance wellness in corporate and community settings.

His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior, BMC Obesity, and the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, among others. He is the author of seven books on nutrition, behavior change, and public health, including the bestselling Breaking the Pattern, used in clinical and academic settings nationwide.

For nearly two decades, Dr. Platkin’s syndicated column, The Diet Detective, was featured in over 150 publications, reflecting his dedication to translating science into practical health advice for the public. He has been recognized by City & State’s Politics of Food and honored by the New York State Governor’s Office for his leadership in nutrition education and policy. He has served as principal investigator on numerous grants focused on public health innovation.

Carlos Saavedra Carvo, MBA

Carlos Saavedra Carvo is a senior executive with 20 years of management experience. The scope of his experience includes marketing, sales, business development, operations, and IT.

 

Mr. Saavedra is an expert at the monitoring of goals and objectives with successful results through leadership, teamwork, and motivation; always considering a participative leadership based on ethics and responsibility.

 

Mr. Saavedra’s skills include the radical increase in sales and or margin; development of multidisciplinary teams committed to goals and strong organization tides; difficult environment negotiation skills and fast environment adaptation. He is expertise is in finance, distribution, and sales. Mr. Saavedra has consulted for International Trucks Peru, Fotomagic, Derco, Acosa, Indumotora, HR Tractor, Dipo, Electralandia, Peru Desarrollo, and Engriete.com. He has also been employed as a director for Bina Ingenieria, a general manager for Cassa Concesionaria, a division manager for La Llave Sa. (Fadesa Group), a business manager for Gildemeister Corp (Ford – Hyundai), Empresas Polar as a marketing brand manager, and Incae (Cost Rica) as a marketing researcher. Mr. Saavedra has successfully developed projects all over the world, but specifically in Peru, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, the US and Canada.
